The annual Baltimore Sea Food Festival takes place on the last full weekend
of May each year. There is a variety of events including Music,
Song & Irish Dancing in the square and the Boat Building Competition.
Friday:
10.00am Mussel Spawning Workshop at Caseys of Baltimore with
BIM
8.30 pm Music in the Square with “Ricky Lynch Band ”
9.00 pm Official Opening by Minister Tony Killeen
Saturday:
10.00am Wooden Boat Registration
10.00am Start of “Carbery Timber Challenge” 8 hours
to build a boat out of the materials supplied.
12.00am Rowing Race and Boat handling
3.00 pm Net Mending Competition
4.30 pm Wooden Boat Harbour Race
6.00 – 6.30 pm Last half hour of the Boat Building
9.00 pm Music in the Square
Sunday:
12.00pm Food Fair on The Pier. Up to forty Exhibitors selling
the Best from West Cork: Smoked and Fresh Fish, Mussels, Crab,
Oysters, Prawns, Handmade Cheeses and Home Baking are just a Taste
of what’s on offer.
BIM stand offering information on shellfish, fish and offering
a taste of some local produce.
12.30 pm Carbery Timber Challenge – Rowing Race followed
by Sailing Race
2.00 pm ‘Kids Crab Fishing Competition’ Lifejackets

2.00 pm Entertainment for Children - Treasure Hunt
