O'Driscoll Clan Gathering

Proposed Festival Schedule 22 - 24 June 2007

Friday 22nd June

2.30pm Trip around Carbery's Hundred Isles on Mystic Water with Captain Vincent O'Driscoll
7.00pm Registration of clan members and talk on O’Driscoll Heritage in Canada by Bruce and Marilyn Driscoll in Dun na Sead Castle.
9.00pm Official opening of Clan Gathering by Des Ekin, author of "The Stolen Village".
9.30pm Music in The Square by "Open the Taps".

Saturday 23rd June

11.00am Trip to Cape Clear on Naomh Ciaran with Captain Ciaran O'Driscoll. On arrival the clan will be met by Mary O'Driscoll and taken to Cotters bar for refreshments followed by a talk on the history of Cape Clear.Then the clan, accompanied by Jeff Oliver, will visit the local museum. After this, lunch will take place in "Ciaran Danny Mikes" followed by music for the afternoon. Ferry departs Cape Clear at 6.00pm.
12.00pm Open Day at Baltimore Lifeboat Station (12.00pm to 5.00pm)
4.00pm Music and Set dancing in The Square, Baltimore.
9.00pm Music in The Square by "Sangre Latino".

Sunday 24th June

10.30am Ferry to Sherkin Island.
11.00am Clan Mass celebrated on Sherkin Island by Father Martin O'Driscoll. Gathering afterwards in the Jolly Roger.
12.30pm Traditional Music in the Square, Baltimore.
3.00pm to 5.00pm Music by Ronnie and Friends in the Square. Kids' entertainment - Face Painting, Balloon making, Mime, etc.
3.30pm Inauguration of Chieftains.
