There is so much to do around here, we're sure every member of the family will find something they enjoy, whether it's walking, swimming, sailing,
diving or simply enjoying the scenery.
During the summer various events are held every year, one of which is the O'Driscoll Clan Gathering in June. As you already know, the fortunes of the village are very much caught up with those of the clan. An O'Driscoll register was started in 1986 and they come from all over the world to register their names. The event is usually accompanied by traditional song and dance in the time-honoured way of the O'Driscolls!
Other events include regular horse races (including trotting races), sea angling competitions and road bowling. Impromptu sessions sometimes start up in the Square, with ceili music and waltzing competitions!
Baltimore is twinned with the Breton town of Penmarch, and exchange visits are regularly arranged, so don't be surprised if you hear something being spoken which isn't English, isn't French, but which doesn't sound quite like Irish.
