Skibbereen is a pleasant 18 hole course, ideal for visitors as by and large it holds no "terrors". There are however some very interesting holes which the golfer would certainly find challenging. It is a mint of one par 5, 2 par 3's and the rest par 4's. A visitor will find the par of 7's a fair test of one's golfing skill. One can enjoy one's golf on a relatively uncrowded course. Open week is in July and also one can participate in the mixed foursomes on Tuesday nights during the summer period.
Intermediate, junior and senior scratch cups are held throughout the year. New members are always welcome. Directions: On main Baltimore road approximately 1.5 miles from Skibbereen. Bar and pavilion facilities available April to October. Further information can be had at the clubhouse.
